£39 Alfredo’s Cafe
Some scents decorate a room. These transport it. Each La Montaña candle is hand-poured by artisan candlemakers in the UK and dressed in a 1930s travel-poster label. Each fragrance is drawn from the Spanish mountains: wild herbs after rain, jasmine at dusk, a café at the end of a long lunch.
They’re made with a clean-burning blend of natural soy, rapeseed and beeswax. A generous 10–12% fragrance load, more than most luxury candles, means the scent fills the room well before the flame settles. Each one burns for at least 40 hours, and arrives gift-boxed with an etched steel lid.
Alfredo’s Café. Coffee, brandy and black tobacco, softened with leather and incense. Rich and warm.
Cloudburst. Bergamot, lavender, basil, lemon and lime, lifted by wild mountain fennel and rockrose. The air after a storm.
First Light. Fennel, bergamot, rosemary, mountain pepper and rockrose. A mountainside at dawn.
Galán de Noche. Night-scented jasmine with rose, orange blossom and ylang ylang. Heady, and made for after dark.
Siesta. Lavender, juniper and thyme. Slow afternoons with the shutters drawn.
August Sunset. Orange flower, rose and geranium, with a balmy finish.
Mistela. Raisin liqueur, cinnamon, clove, star anise, orange and coffee, after the Valencian dessert wine.
Key ingredients
The wax
A blend of 100% natural waxes: sustainably sourced organic soy, rapeseed and beeswax. No palm oil in the blend. It only uses crops grown or raised without synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or hormones, so can be deemed organic by this definition.
Clean burning
Sulphur-free and paraben-free. Wicks are lead-free and made from natural fibre.
The fragrance
A high percentage of fragrance oil in each candle, including a high percentage of natural and essential oils.
Made by hand
Individually hand-poured by artisan candlemakers in the UK. All free from animal testing.

30cl, 220g, with a minimum 40 hours burn. Gift-boxed, with an etched stainless steel lid.
